Groove FM will bring together queer people from across the generations to discuss the music that has moved and moulded, transformed and transported, forged friendships and loves, and brought us together on dance floors and in the streets.
A project that will travel the UK to platform and celebrate the LGBTIQ+ community’s experience of music and the dancefloor.
The project begins on Saturday 19th February at Contact, Manchester. We’ll be creating a safe and informal space for local LGBTIQ+ people to drop into.
We’ll listen to music, gather thoughts, hear stories from across generations and begin the conversation about what makes us groove.
Groove FM is developed and delivered by Outbox associate artists Barry Fitzgerald and mandla rae, and designer Rūta Irbīte, produced by Char Boden, with graphic design by Brenda O’Lochlainn.
